Music

Music is written into the DNA of Sir William Burrough School. We use the Charanga music teaching and learning platform, which is an integrated, practical, exploratory and child-led approach to musical learning. Interrelated dimensions of music weave through the units to encourage the development of musical skills as the learning progresses through differing musical activities (including creating and exploring) and performing. Music is taught from Reception through to Year 6 as a discrete subject each week.
